I was born, raised and educated in Hong Kong, currently in my early forty.
I had my first computer when I was 12 as a gift from my father, I developed strong interest in computing since then. Inspired by my classmate, I opened a three modem-line Bulletin Board System under my name when I was 14, mainly for file and net mail exchanges. I started my Internet citizenship in 1994, considerably an early user. Most of my computer skill was not built up from school but the Internet.
I graduated from Hong Kong Technical College (Tsing Yi) in 2000 with a Higher Diploma in Communication Engineering. After leaving school I worked fulltime for: Pacific Internet HK and HKNet Co Ltd, two sizable internet service providers for five years; Inspire CyberNET Co Ltd and Dedipower Asia Managed Hosting Ltd, two sizable managed hosting companies for another five years. Currently I am working for CITIC Telecom International CPC Ltd. My first ten years of experience was focused on IT pre-sales, service implementation, network operation, data center operation and IT operation. Then my next seven years in CITIC Telecom CPC focused on product development of the company’s cloud and IT security services. Since mid-2018 I started switching from a technical role to a business-IT role focusing on business process transformation and operation. The exposure in the aforesaid positions widened my view in the ICT industry and enabled me to work and see things from an all-rounded technical, commercial, legal and compliance angle. Liaising with stakeholders at different levels is almost a daily routine.
I embrace lifelong learning, between 2005-2008 I studied a BSc in Computer Networks at Middlesex University and graduated with first class honor. Between 2008-2011 I studied at HK Polytechnic University and obtained a MSc in Information Technology. Between 2017-2019 I studied at Sunderland University and obtained a MBA with merit. I am also maintaining some IT/Business certifications namely, CISSP, CISM, CCSK, CCSP, CDPSE, CSSGB, ITIL 3 Expert, ITIL 4 Managing Professional, VCP-DCV, VCP-DT, VMCE etc. I like to apply the knowledge I learn in my workplace.

After work, I’m a husband, father and catholic.
